  19. I'm in the final stages of searching for a computer to run Lightwave on,
  20. and there are some questions still nagging me that will affect the cost of
  21. whatever I get:

  23.         1: What's the difference between VRAM and DRAM in graphics boards?
  24.            On a related note, can a board with DRAM be upgraded to VRAM?
  25.  
  26.         2: Is 16 megs of RAM really enough to run LW?  I've seen this as
  27.            the *lowest* recommended amount, but is that even enough?
  28.            Considering that Windows NT takes 12 megs, that only leaves 4 
  29.            to work with.  How much memory does LW take?
  30.  
  31.         3: If I get an Alpha system, will I be limited to running only
  32.            Alpha software (as there is a separate Alpha version of LW),
  33.            or will it run regular clone software?  I assume it'll "clone"
  34.            just as smoothly as an Intel-based unit since NT has to work on
  35.            it, but I want to be sure of my assumption...
